How to Scan Documents Using a Smartphone

If you have an iPhone or iPad

Apple Icons to Scan Images

  1. Find the "Notes" app.  This is pre-installed on your device.

  2. Tap on the New Note icon (bottom right).

  3. Tap on the camera icon.  Select "Scan Documents."

  4. Scan your document, and tap "Keep Scan."

  5. Tap on the send icon (top right) and email a copy of the scan to "ChemistryTutorsOnline@gmail.com

If you have an Android

Android Icons to Scan Images

  1. Find the pre-installed "Drive" app.

  2. Tap the "Add" icon (bottom right).

  3. Tap the "Scan" buttom to use the camera to scan the document.

  4. Tap okay.

  5. Name file and save as a .jpg in "My Drive."

  6. Look for the three dot icon on top right.  Tap it, scroll through menu to select "Send a copy."

  7. Send the file to ChemistryTutorsOnline@gmail.com
